FALL WORKSHOPS
 

FAMILY ART, Ages 2-4 w/caregivers                                                    
Thursdays, 10:30-11:30am & 12:00-1:00pm

Music, movement, storytelling and visual art projects for young children and their parents and/or caregivers. Through creative movement and music, children wiggled their bodies to the beat while building understanding of space, patterns, their bodies, and how things move.

 

MULTI-MEDIA EXPLORATIONS, Ages 4-7                                             
Mondays & Wednesdays, 4:00 – 5:30pm
                                                                                                             
This workshop incorporates visual storytelling, discussion, and visual arts creativity using a variety of materials and art disciplines including: drawing, painting, printmaking, collage, book-making, tie and dye, and 3D assemblage. Using the visual arts, students will indulge in the explorations of self, family, community, and worldwide cultures.

 

CREATIVE ARTS, Ages 8-12                                                                      
Mondays & Wednesdays, 4:o0 – 5:30pm

Students in this workshop will create works of art using a variety of traditional and non-traditional art materials including paint, clay, paper, cloth, beads, and crayons. Students will explore exciting themes while developing their artistic skills and styles as well as enhance their vocabulary. Projects will include painting, drawing, printmaking, collage and much more.

 

OPEN STUDIO/PORTFOLIO DEVELOPMENT, Ages 13-17                                          
Tuesdays & Thursdays, 4:00- 5:30pm    
                                                                                                       
Teens in this workshops will learn the fundamentals of art, including figure drawing and perspective, painting and introduction to a variety of media. Portfolio-ready projects will be developed; especially helpful for students wishing to enter secondary art schools and colleges.
 

DRAWING & PAINTING, Ages 18+                                                          
Tuesdays & Thursdays, 6:30-8:00pm    
                                                                                                              
This workshop explores the basics of creative self-expression through drawing and painting. Adult artists of all ages will enhance their skills by learning different drawing techniques and creating projects incorporating various paint and medium styles.

 

MULTI-MEDIA EXPLORATION, Ages 5-9                                                                                                             Saturdays, 10:30-12noon
                                                                                                                                                                                                       Using a variety of media including fabric, paint, paper, and other materials, students will explore traditional and non-traditional art-making techniques to create beautiful works of art.

 

LIKE FATHER, LIKE CHILD, Ages 5-10 with fathers                                                                  
Saturdays, 3:00-4:30pm                                                                                                                                                                

This workshop has been especially designed for fathers and their youngsters to work together, creating and sharing quality art experiences. Exciting projects range from storybook-making to murals, collage, painting, 3D construction and more!
