African Rhythm Tap

Feraba is a term from the Sousou of Guinea, West Africa that means, “Do something to make people happy!” In African Rhythm Tap, Feraba, a multi-cultural and multi-ethnic dance company, fuses tap dance with West African drumming in African Rhythm Tap. This highly energetic and entertaining performance shows students how a tap dancer and a drummer can have a rhythm conversation and how we can all learn from each other, no matter what background we come from.

Students are encouraged to sing along and can even come on stage and dance with the performers!
