| Six dynamic musicians trace the origins of tap-your-feet, clap-your-hands, grin-on-your-face Dixieland music while performing on traditional Dixieland instruments (Trumpet, Clarinet, Tuba, Banjo, Trombone and Drums) and focus on the role of each instrument in the ensemble. Special attention is devoted to the cultural place of the music in ?life events? such as weddings, funerals, celebrations, and of course, parades- bringing everyone the spirit of Mardi Gras and the Fourth of July.  The program features the music of renowned musicians of the period such as Louis Armstrong, Sidney Bechet, Henry ?Red? Allen and others.
