Access Shakespeare

P.I.E. (Projects in Education) Access Shakespeare presents the dynamic elements of Shakespearean storytelling through a wide variety of scenes and interactive exercises.  ROMEO AND JULIET, A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM and MACBETH are just some of the plays covered in this 45 minute program, featuring scenes, sword play and soliloquies.
Some of the history of Shakespeare, The Globe Theatre and terms such as Iambic Pentameter are intertwined to make the famous Bard and his incredible plays more accessible.  Middle School students are introduced to the important aspects of Shakespeare’s texts and encouraged to see the parallels and connections with our modern day world.
