| Partnerships are essential in providing quality arts programming to our surrounding communities. Arts Horizons seeks out and participates in partnerships ranging from full collaborations with organizations, to receiving financial support in the common goal of providing creative programming to the youth of New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Artist/Teacher Institute (aTi) Co-sponsored by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts and Arts Horizons, The Artist/Teacher Institute (aTi) provides classroom teachers, administrators, students and artists with in-depth, hands-on experiences in a variety of art forms that encourage professional growth and discovery. By expanding their creativity, participants learn new skills to integrate arts into their curriculum and professional practice while connecting with a community of peers. Led by professional arts instructors, who are master teaching artists, aTi workshops include book arts, creative movement, music, printmaking, storytelling, theater, painting, mixed media, poetry and memoir. Artists-in-Education Consortium For more than 30 years, the New Jersey State Council on the Arts (NJSCA) has recognized the value of partnerships. The foundation of the AIE Program is the partnership between professional artists and educators in order to bring students quality long-term arts education. The AIE Consortium is a partnership of the NJSCA and two of the state’s most well-recognized arts education providers: Arts Horizons and Young Audiences New Jersey. This collaboration between the public and private sectors provides greater resources to bring the AIE program to more schools statewide. The AIE Consortium is registered as a provider of professional development by the New Jersey Department of Education.
