| Graduate credits are awarded through Rutgers University whether you attend the William Paterson University location or Rutgers-Camden. In order to receive 3 graduate credits for the Artist/Teacher Institute: 1. Register for the Artist/Teacher Institute by selecting your major and minor workshops. 2. Register for the 3 credit Summer Session course (56:606:607:J1 Fine Arts, Theory and Practice I) or, if repeating (56:606:608 J1: Fine Arts, Theory and Practice II) through the Rutgers-Camden University Summer Session Office (856-225-6098) and pay the Rutgers tuition and fees directly to Rutgers. 3. During aTi, keep a daily reaction journal describing the work done in each day?s class, your participation in it and your reflection upon the day?s session. This should include how the new knowledge you?ve gained might be applied in your teaching and your own artistic work. The journal is not the same as your class notes, but should be based upon them. 4. Complete the finished project (play, poetry, story, photos, books created, etc.) for evaluation. 5. Submit to D. Luis Garcia, Associate Dean for Graduate Studies: - your daily journal in typed form
- Your finished projects or photos of them (after they have been submitted to your instructor and evaluated by him or her)
- Evaluation form completed by the instructor in your major.
- Evaluation form completed by the instructor in your minor.
Dr. Garcia will examine the work and your journal, along with the written evaluations of your work done by your instructors. He will then assign a grade for the course.
